5:14 Day 4

I reached my word count for day 4 early his morning, mostly due to grabbing a little time yesterday evening. I’m at 6798 words which completed chapter 4. As it turns out completely by mistake each day introduces and finishes another chapter. There’s so much happening in the story leaving a cliff hanger and after approximately 1667, more or less words, suspence just happens.

Before day 1 I had prepared a rough chapter outline through chapter 18, that for some unknown reason my characters and plot has not followed. I’m not at all surprised. This has happened before. However, I am suprprised how far I’ve come in just four days. The story is shaping up just fine. Already there’s a back story, with a building plot, and an introduction to more characters.

All the action builds to a high point in the story, or at least that’s the plan, but I’ll need complete cooperation from the characters and you know how they are. In any case, which ever direction the plot goes, I am thrilled to be taking on this task. 43202 words and 27 days to go. This weekend I’ll play get ahead while I’m not having to report to work, which seems to threaten to take my focus from time to time.

Ok enough of this world. I must return to Macon’s adventure. He’s excited, sad, and scared right now. He may need my support. If he knew how I have set him up and how I plan to cause him as much tormoil as a human can stand he’d escape my novel to seek solace elsewhere.
